Our mission is to provide a proactive, comprehensive, and developmentally appropriate program to address students academic and career goals in addition to supporting their personal and social needs. MHS Counseling is centered on building relationships which positively influence student potential in diverse settings as students learn to navigate social/emotional development while focusing on excellence through purpose.

9th graders will take PSAT 8/9
10th graders will take TSIA-2
11th graders will take PSAT/NMSQT
12th graders can choose: ASVAB, TSIA-2, or take a college visit day
 

Naviance

Students have access to a web-based college and career readiness tool called Naviance.  This platform allows students to explore interests, research post-secondary options, and set personalized goals. Throughout the year, students will be assigned tasks in Naviance that can be completed at school or at home on their own time. Tasks will consist of surveys, college searching, career interest exploration, resume building and goal-setting. These tasks will show on the student's dashboard once they are logged in. We encourage parents to partner with their student and engage in conversations related to specific interests and post-secondary plans. Community Service Hours Available

**Community Service hours are waived for the graduating class of 2021. Students are encouraged to turn in any community service hours they complete.**
 
All Midlothian High School students must complete at least 10 hours of community service over their high school career. This community service is a graduation requirement for Midlothian Independent School District. The program is administered through social studies and details are explained in the community service program flyer and service form.
