CREDITS:

A student must earn at least 26 credits under the Foundation w/ Endorsement Plan to meet state graduation requirements. Under special circumstance, the law allows for a student to graduate under a 22 credit Foundation Plan, but this plan limits college and financial aid opportunities for students as they prepare to leave high school.

Please review this Personal Graduation Plan for an explanation of credits required for graduation. Pay close attention to the Graduation Plans for 2019 and beyond - detailing required credits and courses.

STAAR/EOC Tests passed:

The State of Texas requires all high school students to take and pass five End of Course Exams (EOC), also known as STAAR tests, in order to meet state testing graduation requirements

A student must take and pass the English 1, English 2, Algebra 1, Biology, and US History STAAR/EOC tests to meet testing requirements for graduation. Please see more information on STAAR/EOC Testing from our Counseling Center page.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

FAFSA: a student must complete the FAFSA Financial Aid application.

CPR Training/knowledge: a student must be informed about CPR training (they do not have to be certified).

Police Officer Interaction (POI): a student must be informed about interacting with officers of the law.

SPEECH: a student must meet speech proficiency (met by either taking and passing a high school/dual credit speech class or 4th year English language course in high school) by the year of graduation.

COMMUNITY SERVICE: Midlothian Independent School District policy requires all graduating students to complete at least 10 hours of community service. COMMUNITY SERVICE FORM
