Planning 4 years of academics
Why make a plan for high school?
Four years seems like a long time, but time goes by faster than you think. It is important to have a game plan to follow so that you can remove as many obstacles/challenges in your path and have a clear understanding of how YOU want your high school career to be. Having a plan can ease anxiety, help you begin to make goals, and understand what you want to achieve in your life.
Academic PLANNING 101
- It is advised you select a specific pathway: Career, Athletics, Cheer, Drill Team, etc.
- Challenge yourself with your classes. Taking a Pre-Advanced Placement (PAP), Advanced Placement (AP), and/or Dual Credit (DC) course(s) can challenge you and help your GPA and class rank.
- Don't overload yourself with too many extracurriculars, advanced courses, and clubs. Doing too much can eventually cause undue anxiety and force you to eventually choose between one commitment over another.
